I’ve eaten goat and rabbit in the bush at times when stuck

And grilled a sand goanna flock pigeons and wild duck

I’ve also filled my tummy with black swan for a week

But I’ve always got a craving for big yabbies from the creek

I’ve tried the snake and plover boiled galah and cockatoo

Had my share of emu eggs and steak from the kangaroo

I’ve even tackled saddle flaps with hunger at its peak

But my mouth just goes to water with big yabbies from the creek

When the wife puts on a barbie and invites the neighbours in

They dive on steak and onions nearly bursting at the bin

I also rub my bingie though I’m not some kind of freak
