In the backs of the stacks in my wallet

there are savings-cards from grocery-stores that I,

I don’t shop at anymore.

And on page eighty-seven of my email-history

there are letters made of mystery made of

words from friends that I don’t know anymore.

Ooh on the floors of my mind are piles of paper

and when the wind comes rushing through an open window…

I’m waiting in traffic and I suddenly see your face go flying by!

Dusty dusty dusty feelings.

Sipping my coffee and I suddenly see you face go flying by…

In the corners of the drawers in my Momma’s home

there are trinkets, and things we’ve out-grown,

there are sentimental gadgets that just don’t work anymore.

And underneath the books in my piano-seat

there are songs that are incomplete,

there are melodies and rhythms that just didn’t know where to go…
