Bring down the sun and corrupt the soil

Cast the gaze upon the earth, and scorch all flesh in which lies the breath of

life

With the might of a thousand suns!

The trumpet’s blast echoed through the realms

Like the crushing of a thousand storms!

How it clangs, and how it roars, like the thunder of a thousand wars!

What a horror they outpour on the bosom of the palpitating air

Emerging forth into the light, the bornless one!

He who paints the void with fire, he who salts the earth with ash

Bring forth thy glorious night, awaken from ancient slumber!

Spew forth thy covering murk, lay darkness upon the land

Let sulphur fall from the sky, as starving souls reach for the salvation hand

Men and women chewed their tongues, mad with pain

Drunk with the blood of the saints, they embraced the flame!
