I see the way through the eyes of a winters night

There lies a path where the old trees sway

Through the eyes of winter

Here a solemn stillness holds in the deepening snow

I tread the earth where I must go

Down into the hollows, down where we belong

The ground comes alive — it opens up and through I follow

Down.

I saw the way through the eyes of a winters night

Follow the dreams to the dark to see where the lost be found

Drawn to their silent breath through a hole of decay

There lay a path, a path where the old trees sway

I trod the earth

I am the dweller on the threshold

Taking flight to return — return upon the world

Though I saw no sun

Glad did I live under the wide and misty sky

Securing my belief in the afterlife

Float into the depths, pulled to the core

I swore the ground alive

Through the roots of life ride the tides

Ride the tides!

The silence of the fallen glows in the afterlife

Down where I belong

All is deceased, the spinning leaf will become another
