Brittle Thread - Estrange

I breathe in deeply

And the air suffuses my lungs

Fills me with life I never asked for

The stillborn got away so easily

A stupid thought but that’s how it feels

All I need waits by the horizon

I try to reach it over and over again

The despair keeps on eating me

Whispering «It's all in vain»

I’m so old chained to fear

Without any hope

Still I don’t know who I am

My life is that brittle thread

Everything is so insecure

Where will I find

Someone to care for this?

This failure personified in me

And when will I do what I know is right?

When will a change come into sight?
