Fight against the tide

Towards the morning light

Dark is the water

Dark the misty air

Darker still my heart

That shivers in the breeze

Deceiving death itself

To the silent halls

Where dead still wait

Linger in the dusk

I came to mend my soul

Redeem my precious one

Cruel is the fate here, pitiless the death

Stole my sun and moon, stole my cherished one

Took it from my arms and buried in the shades

And suddenly before me the black waters stir

And the beast, it rises…

The guardian awakes

The menacing darkness

And the river roils

And winds they howl

Hurled into the shore

Cast on the treacherous stones

I surge into the dark

Sheltering my fragile son

Deceiving death itself
